The Blue Lobster

A fine, firm flesh, an attractive black shell with blue highlights, these are the features that make the Breton lobster unique. It is known for its extremely fine taste. Lobsters live among the rocks at the bottom of the sea, sometimes quite close to the coast. 100% natural and low in calories.

[Nutrition]

French Blue Lobster  is a rich source of copper and selenium and also contains zinc, phosphorus, calcium vitamin B12, magnesium, vitamin E and a small amount of omega-3 fatty acids.

We may recommend our Caviar with it.

Lobster and Caviar is one of the greatest indulgences and most beautiful combinations of flavours. The nutty and creamy caviar highlights the sweetness of the delicate lobster.

The Special Cancale Oysters N2

Cultivated in Cancale, in the beautiful Bay of Mont St Michel, Brittany region of France, The Special de Cancale is a slightly acidic oyster loved for its taste of iodine, its firm flesh, light nutty flavor. Cancale oysters are considered by many as the finest in France and the town is considered the oyster capital ! No surprise they received the Golden Medal of Paris General Agricultural Competition 2022

N2 is a beautiful size for such oyster. Way bigger and tastier than the N4 or N3 you may find elsewhere. In Bistro Breton we decided to offer you what we consider the best.

[Nutrition]

Raw oysters are an abundant source of several vitamins and minerals. They’re a particularly good source of vitamin B12, which research has indicated plays a big role in keeping your brain healthy. Oysters are low-calorie and high in micronutrients, making them a healthy food for many people

The Brown Crab (Tourteau or Crabe Dormeur)

Crabs are the tasty, eight-legged crustaceans at the heart of many French seafood restaurant menus. Ordering crabs in France is a joy, with a choice from the simplest of dishes to truly special creations. We decided to go for the special one ! Inside the shell, legs and claws are lots of beautiful white crab meat. The way we cook it will reveal the best its natural taste.

[Nutrition]

Crab is good for health since its average caloric intake is only 89 kcal/100 g but also good for energy, since it provides a large amount of protein , 20 g per 100 g of crab on average.

In addition, crabs are eminently rich in minerals, starting with phosphorus, but also magnesium. Trace elements such as iron and copper are also very well represented.

Finally, crabs also contain a good dose of vitamin B12 with anti-anaemic properties, as well as vitamin PP, necessary for the proper functioning of the nervous system.
